Congrats to our friends Rachel, Michael and Caleb Novak on the birth of their baby girl Abigail Grace yesterday 03.12 at 11:32 pm (10 days early!) And a big shout out to the birthday boy Caleb - he turns 2 today!

There is a pretty incredible story surrounding her birth. Rachel (who is one of the girls in my Sunday night small group) had asked us to pray that she would NOT go into labor this weekend because her doctor was scheduled to be out of town, and more importantly her husband Michael was leaving on Friday for a job interview in South Carolina. When Michael arrived at the airport he learned that the flight was overbooked. The airline offered $800 travel vouchers for anyone willing to give up their seat, but no one took the offer. As it turned out Michael and one other guy weren't allowed to board the plane. Michael returned home as there wasn't another flight to his destination until Saturday morning. And good thing he did, as Rachel went into labor later that day. How amazing to see the hand of God so clearly orchestrating everything so that Michael could be home for Abigail's birth!
